Where most matte films fall short

No glare. No grain either.

Most matte films swap glare for grainy white pages full of tiny colour specks. Ours keeps them clean. Shown magnified.

A lit MacBook screen under an ordinary matte film: the white page is grainy with fine colour specks and the text has colour fringes
The same lit MacBook screen with Glare Armour: clean white page and sharp text

Ordinary matte film

White pages turn grainy, with fine colour specks and fuzzy, colour-edged text.

Ever priced a matte MacBook?

A matte MacBook screen is an ₹18,000 upgrade.

Apple offers its nano-texture display only on some MacBook Pro models. Glare Armour gives a similar matte look on the MacBook you already own.

Questions

Still wondering?

Will it remove 100% of glare and reflections?

Not 100%, and no screen protector can. Glare Armour has an anti-reflective coating that spreads incoming light out and softens it, so harsh glare and mirror-like reflections drop drastically. Under very bright light you may still see a soft, diffused glow, but not a sharp reflection sitting on top of your work.

Is it hard to put on? Do I need a shop to do it?

No. It goes on dry, with no liquid, and every layer is numbered so you never guess which side is which. Follow the four steps above.

Will I end up with bubbles or dust under it?

That is what the extra layers are for. A sticky layer lifts the dust as you line it up, and the squeegee pushes the air out as you pull that layer away. Clean the screen with the wet wipe, then the dry wipe, and fit it away from fans and open windows.

What if I line it up crooked?

Lift it and try again. Nothing is final until you pull the positioning layer out, so take your time getting it straight.

Is it safe for my MacBook's screen? Will it leave anything behind?

It peels off clean with no glue left on the screen. Lift it slowly from a corner. It sits on top of your display and nothing about the MacBook is changed.

Will it really fit my exact MacBook?

Yes. Each size is cut for its own MacBook, edge to edge, with a cut-out for the notch so the camera stays clear. Apple menu → About This Mac shows your model, then pick it in the dropdown.

Will my lid still close? Will it strain the hinge?

Yes, it closes flush. It's thin and flexible, not thick glass, and we checked it on a real MacBook Air and a real MacBook Pro.

Will small text look grainy or fuzzy, like other matte films?

No. That grain and those colour specks are the usual trade-off with ordinary matte films, especially on white pages. Ours keeps small text sharp and whites clean.

Will colours look dull? Will I have to turn the brightness up?

It cuts reflections without the grainy haze of ordinary matte films, so photos and video look true.

Will it stop keyboard marks? How do I clean it?

When the lid closes, the keys touch Glare Armour, not your screen, and the marks wipe away. Use a soft microfibre cloth.

Why does it cost more than a ₹300 film?

Cheap films often turn the screen grainy, dull the colours or don't fit properly, and some sold as matte arrive glossy. Ours is cut for your exact MacBook, keeps text sharp and has a dry install you can redo.

Is this Apple's nano-texture display?

No. It gives a similar matte look, but it isn't a nano-texture display. Apple builds nano-texture into the display of some MacBook Pro models. Glare Armour is a separate screen protector you apply yourself, on any MacBook it fits.

What's in the box?

Glare Armour, wet and dry wipes, a dust sticker and a squeegee.
