My experience with magsafe accessories haven't been good but this magsafe car mount by capes has dramatically changed my perception about magsafe compatible products. This car mount is amazing! Such precise cutout it is, exactly matches the trackpad dimensions.
Also, when the trackpad skin arrives, it looks like a rectangle, so don't get confused how will it apply. The cutout has been made in the middle of the rectangular skin, when you start peeling from the either side, you would see the main trackpad skin.
PS: If you don't like friction while touching the trackpad, go for the plain one
